Health informatics one of the ‘grand challenges’

It seems that the advancement of Health Informatics has been listed as one of the 21st century’s greatest challenges by a panel of leading engineers and scientists, such is the importance of Healthcare Informatics Evangelism 
(Can someone give me a pat on the back?)
A panel of a group of leading (international) technological thinkers from the US National Academy of Engineering were asked to identify the Grand Challenges for Engineering in the 21st Century and Health Informatics is identified as one of the 14 ‘Grand Challenges in Engineering’.
